Lara in Colo
I went to Office Max yesterday and with coupons from the newspaper. I bought: 4 packages (4count expo brand) of dry erase markers 2 boxes (12 count) sharpies 12 paper folders with prongs (.01 each) 2 bottles of school glue 3 packages (2 count with extra lead and erasers) mechanical pencils-- these are great and I love them and they last at least a year http://www.amazon.com/Paper-Mate-Mechanical-Starter-56047PP/dp/B001T6QCJC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373376659&sr=8-1&keywords=mechanical+pencils+papermate I spent just under $10.00 SO basically I got enough lead, pencils and markers to last a year! Look in your Sunday paper for the flyer and go!! Lara
chiguirre
Yeah, my favorite shopping season. I love school supplies.
jenn-
I love back to school sales. I don't know what I need this year though. I wish we had an Office Max closer. Our nearest one is 40 miles away and gas would eat up any savings. We will be near one next week though, so hopefully they have some more great sales. Arcadia
I am overstock on school supplies. I did buy the 14 foam brushes for $1 at Michaels for my kids' art. OfficeMax, Office Depot and Staples release their weekly ads early on Friday so its nice to check and see if prices will be going down on sunday. AdventureMoms
I went to Staples last night. I got two packs of pens, some erasers, index cards, and two large packs of markers. It was about five dollars. Yay! They had paper on sale too, but I am forbidden from buying any more paper. We have a bit of an overstock

I found a bunch at Goodwill last year for $6.00 a case; I bought 9 cases, then my copier broke.

Those are some ninja skills! Lara, could you PM me? I've often wondered how your dh's job/proposal/consulting? thing went. I was praying for him (and your family) but somehow missed the update, many months ago. (BTDT on hubs' work situations.)

I found some boxes of the old daisy wheel paper for $2 a box ( 2700 sheets each--bought three) I have plain and the tricolor carbon copy--- they really love that--- they can make three copies of their stuff!! Three years later I still 1.5 boxes!!
Stayseeliz
Walmart had big display of school supplies out the other day. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for their 10 cent glue stick sale. It's the highlight of my summer!! :)
tex-bex
Totally jealous. I need to stock up on paper! DD is going through an artistic phase. Mine, too! I buy drawing pads at target and she blows through them in days. I have moved on to the dollar store, but I'm keeping an eye out for school supply sales!
