Recovering Sociopath
Have any of you used the NEH produced "Picturing America" resource as an art curriculum? What did you think? Any resources you'd recommend besides those provided on the NEH website? A friend gave me all her posters from it and they're gorgeous. I'll be teaching a 7yo and an 8.5yo, if that helps. Thanks! Miss Marple
It was used for a co-op class my boys took. They were early teens at the time. I think you could use it with younger kids and just adjust your expectations. The posters are gorgeous. I still have the set - I got it and someone else taught it. The lady who taught it is quite artistic. The Picturing America was one part of the class and then she added in hands-on activities as well for the year. llindseymomoffour
We have this program and will be using it this year to go along with our American History. My kids are ages 10, 9, and 6. Sorry I can't tell you how they responded to it or if it is a good program or not, but it looks really good and I think they will like it. scrapbabe
So I can't find prices. Is it a kit or are pictures sold separately.

Kathleen.
So I can't find prices. Is it a kit or are pictures sold separately? It's a freebie. I just looked at it for the first time and downloaded the Teachers Resource book and the images. It looks like a nice supplement for discussing history in art and art in history.
