Guest melane005
Mom to a 6yo daughter. I'm one of those that wishes to homeschool but as a single parent working full-time with family that lives too far away to help, it would be too difficult for me to do so....so I'm "afterschooling" after work/weekends/and summer time using Memoria Press (Classical Phonics, First Start Reading, Cursive, Story Time Treasures, and Prima Latina) and Rod & Staff (Arithmetic) curriculums. Her science/art/social studies/music are hands-on through activities, trips, piano lessons, arts/craft classes. I find the Afterschooling board very helpful and I am looking forward to sharing ideas/insight here.
