Guest jill1034
My DS is entering 7th grade and since 2nd grade his public school teachers and I have known that he isn't able to take the ideas in his mind and put them onto paper. He has been home schooled for the last 2 years. I thought for sure bringing him home would make writing easier. It did not. However, reading your books has finally helped me understand why. (Thank you). So now I begin remediation. I did the end of WWE Level 3 evaluation but because narration and summarizing are new to him, he only did ok. I could see him struggle to put the words together even as he knew I would write them down. (Some panic from past frustrations.) The dictation he did fine, but missed the quotation marks. I know he needs practice with narration and summarizing and dictation. My question is should I start him at WWE 4 or 3 or should I move him into WWS Level 1? My gut is saying 3 or 4 but not sure if Level 4 expects him to be doing well with narration or will it take him through the process slow enough for him to fill the gap. Thanks.
