Short story with an anthropological POV from the future?

Recommended Posts

I remember reading a short story that was told from the POV of an anthropologist or archaeologist investigating the contents of a medicine cabinet. The person tries to give explanations for things like pill bottles. Does this ring a bell for anyone? Do you know the name?

Could you mean Motel of the Mysteries by David Macaulay? It's about an archaeologist in the future who finds a motel and misinterprets everything inside.

I'm thinking that isn't what you're thinking of... but that it's in a similar vein perhaps?
