creekland
I wish I could see scores... my guy is out camping with friends and I'm not privy to his collegeboard password. It's tough waiting in general. It's even tougher waiting when I know the scores are actually there! Best wishes to all!
Luckymama
 I just checked dd13's scores.
KarenNC
Any idea how long after they're posted that the ones in the mail can be expected? Since my daughter is under 13 (by a couple of months), she couldn't set up an online account and they wouldn't let me set one up for her. :glare: I hate waiting! If you call the College Board, they will provide your dd's scores over the phone today. Since she is under 13, there will be no charge - a rarity with the College Board. FloridaLisa
And we don't have any at this stage right now!! Woohoo! There's nothing like a break between graduating seniors.
Supertechmom
SWEET!!!! We are :hurray: :w00t: over here. Still have some things to work on (like writing Good Gravy!)) but overall pleased! Hope everyone gets the scores they wanted!
StephanieZ
I had dd16 (rising Junior) up at 5:30 AM to check hers!! It was her first shot, and she knocked it out of the park! Balanced good scores on all parts. :hurray: :hurray:   We were doing it as a practice for the all-important PSAT in the coming fall of her Junior year. She scored well above the cutoff for Natl Merit in our state, so if she does this well on the PSAT, she'll be Nat'l Merit for sure, and that'd be HUGE for us as it would open doors to dozens of colleges with big merit scholarships, and that'd be the only realistic way for her to have choices apart from our state flagship (which would give her huge merit aid based on the SAT alone). This SAT score will count as the "confirmatory SAT score" for her, too, assuming she does make it to semi-finalist based on PSAT. I am doing a HAPPY DANCE! regentrude
DD got her subject test scores for math and physics. Not perfect (she is upset about this), but very good IMO.

I'm very pleased with both her performance and validation that the outside writing class she took was well worth the investment.
BakersDozen
:( Not happy. Not happy at all.
creekland
:( Not happy. Not happy at all. Bummed here too... CR went down 60 points and that's the one we retested trying to bring up. M stayed the same. W went up 70 points (so superscore went up 70 points), but that's not worth much at many schools. The superscore is, but I wasn't worried about admittance. I was hoping for more $$ and the scholarships tend to not use W + they only use one sitting most of the time. Oh well. He'll apply and see what happens. He does have a couple of good things going for him - geographical diversity, a rural zip code, a male applying to female heavy schools, a good GPA, and I think he'll get good LORs as his teachers absolutely love him. I'm confident of admissions (not trying top tier schools, but he doesn't want those even if he had great scores). It's just the financial aspect. But, unless he has a major change of heart (super doubtful) we're done testing. That part (done with testing) I can rejoice over!
cricket1178
My daughter did not receive her scores. We called and they said there was a problem with her test. It has been submitted for review. They did not tell us why, but on test day they said she had a problem with her picture. Several kids were told the same thing. Some were allowed to test. Some were not. After shaking them all up right before the test, they started their test later than everyone else's and ended up finishing 1 1/2 hours after her cousin who was waiting for her. They are going to let us know something in 10-14 business days. She may not get her results ever! Daughter is upset and so am i. They said there is nothing we can do about it. Very frustrating! I hope they do let her keep her scores (and I doubt they'd be her best considering the circumstances!), They should at least tell you exactly what was wrong... MyThreeSons
Hope you and yours see your hoped for scores. : ) I did a little SAT Math Prep tutoring class this Spring. The Mom of one of my students messaged me on FB to let me know her daughter's math score went up by 70 points!! She was already quite high in Reading and Writing, so if those didn't fall dramatically, she should be in good shape for some scholarships. (Our state has some that are based on a combination of test scores, GPA, and class rank.)

AK_Mom4
For those of you wondering about the wisdom of taking the SAT multiple times..... DS17 did the SAT in March. Scores were excellent. I badgered him into taking the test again in May - he didn't want to because his scores were "good enough" His May test score is 130 points higher!!!!!! Woohoo! And all of it in the important CR and Math sections. This jumps him up huge in the application indexes at his top two schools. DS17 is my toughest test taker - it is much harder for him to line up the question/answer bubbles due to some vision problems. Definitely doing the happy dance!
