Jean in Newcastle
I am grumpy because I am achy despite staying off all nightshade vegetables and getting 8 hours of sleep and doing everything else that is good for me. I am dressed. I am wearing a black bra under a white shirt but you can't tell it. I am not making a fashion statement. This bra is clean and fits. The shirt is also clean and fits. I had breakfast. Now I am at the library with dd. Hopefully soon I'll have something to actually cross off my list.

Sparkle
MIHH, I'm so glad you have a/c! I can't imagine not having it in that kind of heat. I have not one iota of gumption today. They have helped me accomplish things I would otherwise put off for many days. Because of that I've had a clean & organized house for 3 days! With 3 young children I can't remember the last time that happened. Maybe before I had any :)
hjffkj
I think my grumps are finally subsiding!! Most of my list is done. Baby about ready to be put down for another nap and the other 2 are relaxing with a few shows after putting on a very fun play! I think i'll take the quiet time to read and pack the babies clothes for our mini trip

Artichoke
Looking forward to another day of decluttering and organizing--- not! You ladies are way ahead of me today. I had to change my plans and have been gone for the past four hours. The good news is that I have time to tackle the freezer before picking up dd at music camp. Then, I think I'll try to tackle Emptying the pantry Washing down the walls and shelves Putting everything back into the pantry in a more organized fashion Refilling all of the grain buckets Cleaning and organizing the garage shelf that holds the grain buckets Cut and sew dd's petticoat to go under her poodle skirt Hopefully, get to the Y to use the elliptical. I like to do this in the evening. See you all later this evening. Happy cleaning to you all!
swellmomma
It's just after 1 pm here, the dogs are proving to be a distraction to school. The dogs themselves are good and quiet, it's the kids wh insist they have to check on them every 30 seconds. School is being done albeit slowly. We are starting to gear down for summer, so I only have them doing 3-4 assignments a day currently. The 2 youngest are done math, the 2 oldest are supposed to be working on theirs but are spending more time trying to escape from it than it would have taken to just get it done already. After math will be LLATL and botany. Pretty easy day, should have only taken an hour tops for everything but the kids like to drag things out. Meat for dinner is thawing on the counter. Kitchen is nearly scrubbed clean, just have a few more things to put away, 1 more 1/2 load of dishes and then the floor. Dogs have been graduated from being only in the backroom to now also having the entrance way to play(the backroom is off the entrance), which means I can now start the laundry for the day without baking the dogs in that room. Between the cats, and the dogs not being fully housebroken they are only gradually being introduced to more areas of the house. 1 cat hates them, 1 tolerates them enough that she and one of the dogs went into the kennel together for a nap :) and yes I took a picture of that. Also to add to the list for today if I get around to it: Make reading chart, the kids started our home challenge last night so I need the chart to track it. clear out inbox of all the old emails of the past year now that extracurrics and online classes are over, time for a clean slate clean out car in preparation of tomorrow's trip to the city

joannqn
I can't believe it is 1pm already. I've managed to wash some of the dishes. I have more than my strainer will hold, so I have to do it in more than one session. I fed the kids breakfast and lunch. Took my bike to the bike shop. Got estimate for fixing it up. Called DH. Left bike there. By the time we get our family outfitted with bikes, helmets, etc., we'll have sunk so much money into this new hobby that we better become serious cyclists. Jean in Newcastle
OK - this is ridiculous. I HAVE to get something done. I am going to put on a timer and will clean the kitchen. Dd is going to take care of our library stuff for me. I'll be back (said in my best Arnold voice). ETA - 16 minutes 3 seconds to empty dishwasher and fill it again and push the button to clean. There are dishes that didn't fit in the dishwasher and I haven't wiped down the counters. But now I"m going to go teach math.
Jean in Newcastle
School is all done. We are going to take books back to the library (we didn't get that done before even though we went to the library). Then we are going on to my "Functional Integration" therapy session. I'll stop at the store on the way home with some stuff for yakisoba (Japanese fried noodles).
hjffkj
done everything I can do until my dh gets home from work at 9 tonight. then i'll be able to run to my brother's house to bring in his mail (luckily he only lives 2 miles away.) While I'm out I have to get disposable diapers since there is no way i'm staying in a hotel room with dirty cloth diapers. Half of our packing is done. The rest will wait till the kids are in bed because they keep trying to 'help' me. Hope you all are marking things off the lists!
swellmomma
This day is going downhill fast. We are dog sitting. One of the dogs nipped dd5 on the nose and she had her first ever nosebleed. No broken skin but it left her very scared and screaming for a while. I spent a long time getting her settled. She fell asleep in my lap, I laid her on the couch and sat back at my computer. Was checking out my facebook stuff when my wheeled office chair suddenly tipped backwards and went flying. I landed in/on a box I was filling to go tot he basement and scraped up my back on the back of the chair. Very sore right now and sitting my gingerly. Oh and one of the dogs peed on the backroom floor so had fun dealing with that before the nip. The first day is not even over yet with these dogs and we have them for a week. I didn't learn until after they were dropped off they have never been trained, the family just puts them in the yard all evening while they lay around on the couch etc. Yeah makes it fun in someone else's home. At least I had already swept up the kitchen floor. I will not be washing tonight though(I wash floors on my hands and knees). In fact I may go soak in the tub before I start cooking dinner to loosen my back again. It is very tense right now from the jarring it took. joannqn
I did the math lesson from yesterday and the exercises which were today's lesson. DS11 kept bugging me with needing help, but having not done them myself, I couldn't help him. So, I stopped everything to get to math sooner rather than later. DD3 work up poorly from her nap, so I'm stuck with an unhappy preschooler for a bit.
Artichoke
Okay, my list is still pretty much NOT done. I think Wednesday has tackled me! One sick dog, a bitten thumb from said dog ( while I tried to feed him a pill ), and a trip to the doctor later has left me WHOOPED! Thankfully, the petticoat is the only thing that is really time sensitive. DD and dh have taken that over and are doing great with it. Hope all of you ladies have faired better today :-) It's been nice to be able to share my day with you all.

joannqn
I forgot today was Wednesday...imagine that. I missed my grilled steak dinner in order to rush DS to boy scouts. Jean in Newcastle
I just got home at 8:15. I left the house at 2:30. I am wiped! I got books dropped off at the library and talked the (rather inept) librarian through how to check out my book. No, she did not know how to do it. I just knew from watching them do it. She's a sub. but still! I went to what I thought would be one hour of therapy. The guy went on and on! I finally stopped him when I was totally wiped and tired out. I hadn't been able to see the time and was dismayed to find out that we had gone for an hour and a half. I had other things to do afterward. Had to eat out on the run because the therapist went over so much. Had to go directly then to Zumba. Doing that was pretty tough on my body. Oh well. Zumba was fun - most of the time. I had to sit out a couple of songs. I did lead one song and that went well. I hope everyone had good days. It looks like there were two dog bites? I hope those are ok. Sparkle
I did the bare minimum today. Showered, got dressed, went to the library, folded one load of laundry, did a little schoolwork, nagged my ds to write his thank you notes. Yep, that's about it. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
