kfeusse
I don't ever where orange, but I want tan colored shoes and I would prefer them NOT to velcro in the back. I bought some at Famous Footwear last year and the velcro is wearing even though the rest of the shoe still has wear left in it. So now I am off looking again. I have had the Rugged Outback shoes before and wore them into the ground...has anybody else seen a similar shoe but not with orange?http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat10285&skuId=132321110&productId=66947&lotId=132321&category=&catdisplayName=Womens
unsinkable
Ooh, I love the orange! Orange is a hot color for accessories this season. I love it bc I grew up in the 70s,
kitten18
What size do you wear? Keen youth sandals go up to a size 6 (women's 8). The Whisper style doesn't have velcro. You might be able to find a pair at Amazon or 6pm.com for under $40.
Word Nerd
I've seen similar styles at the Keen and Lands' End websites before.
ElizabethB
Mine buckle in the back but I after a few days getting the adjustment right, I now have them set where I can slip them on and off without using the velcro, so the velcro has not worn out. If you do that, one with a velco strap in the back should not have that problem.
JudoMom
I sprung for Keens last year, after wearing the same type from Payless into the ground the summer before (the sole was literally falling off). I figured one pair of Keens was about 3 pair of Payless, and I was assured here that they would last that long. They still look brand new. These are the Keens I purchased. I love them. *********
That same pair at Payless that you posted comes in black.
kfeusse
I saw black and navy...don't want either one of them...really like tan or brown. Love the Keens...$95 is sort of steep.... will look at the other places mentioned...thanks. the problem with orange is that I don't wear orange...and the other colors i do wear, will clash with orange...but I might just need to do it anyway. AngieW in Texas
My 17yo wears Keens. They are pretty rugged and they offer good support too, not something that you typically find in sandals. The only caveat I have for Keens is that they are pretty wide. That's perfect for my 17yo because she has wide feet, but I would never be able to wear them. My dd wears the Venice style of Keens sandals, the same as another poster linked above.
NicksMama-Zack's Mama Too
These are Teeva, not Keen sandals. I don't think they run as wide as Keens. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/teva-dozer-iii-sandals-for-women~p~4958u/?filterString=womens-footwear~d~19%2F&colorFamily=01 Here's a bunch of Keen at Sierra... http://www.sierratradingpost.com/s~keen-sandles-women/?perPage=24 Enter SITEHOT613 for an extra 20% off of orders over $75. hth K
Luanne
Those ARE cool looking shoes. I like the blue ones myself. They do come in blue and black as well.
UrbanSue
I'd get Keens. They will last three times longer and you can probably find them for twice the Payless price or maybe less. Hunt around online. I buy Keens for my kids because they last well enough to hand down and I always wait for at least a 20% off sale and then stack it with a 10% off rebate through ebates or something. Amazon also sometimes has great prices on certain colors.

Her foot is very narrow and the Whisper is not as wide as the other styles.
Luanne
That's the other problem with payless shoes. You do pay less, but they are usually very cheaply made and don't last very long before they start falling apart.
Mrs Mungo
I have red Keens. I have had them about 4 years and wear them on light hikes. They are still in great condition.

Suzanne115
I have the Venice style in the Keens too. They are so comfortable. I have arthritis in my feet so I can't wear a lot of shoes. The Keens are great for my feet. This pair of Keens is my first, but I will definitely get more. Suzanne
