kfeusse
a friend and I are hosting a garage sale tomorrow...our girls want to set up a stand and sell drinks and cookies. The weather is supposed to be overcast and cool (60's)...at least in the morning...I am trying to decide if to add coffee to the list of beverages (poured from a caraffe...my daughter is nearly 13)....along with cold bottled water and those flavor packets to add to the bottled water if desired. What do you think?? right now we are thinking: water .50 a bottle, .25 for the flavor packet and maybe .25 for a cup of coffee....plus .25 per cookie. (we live in Nebraska...so prices at garage sales are not high). thoughts??? I didn't want to sell soda because we don't drink the stuff and I didn't want to be stuck with soda if they don't sell. Rebecca VA
One problem with serving coffee is that people could spill coffee on your merchandise. They might also leave cups, empty sugar packets, and stirrers around, which could cause a "trashy" appearance at the sale.
Jennifer in MI
Definitely sell the coffee! Your prices are perfect. My dd did this a couple weeks ago. She only sold lemonade and cookies. She made over $20! And I made her pay for the ingredients. But our prices were a bit higher than yours. Good luck at your sale!!
