cathmom
This was my favorite piece of piano music as a child. It's one page, very easy, something for a beginner. Unfortunately my mom threw away my old sheet music. I used to have it memorized but can't remember all of it now. I have done all sorts of internet searches but cannot find it. If you have a copy, could you possibly scan it and email it to me or copy it and mail it? I would be happy to pay for it! Thanks!

LMA
Do you have any info such as Opus number? Is "Bells" the official title or is it part of a sonata or any other work? Sometimes titles are just given by the publisher but they may not be the composer's title. ETA: I found the list of his works but no title of "Bells": http://www.tcherepnin.com/alex/comps_alex.htm
catz
I found this catalogue of works of A. Tcherepnin, but I'm not seeing Bells in there ... http://www.tcherepnin.com/alex/comps_alex.htm You might want to take a look through the list and see if anything looks familiar. Sometimes different editors will title things differently with different langaguges/translations. Some just use Opus number, etc. My son learned a piece by Burgmuller last year. I could find that piece listed different places with like 4 different names.
ElizabethB
Maybe in this book? Too bad you can't look inside. http://www.note4piano.com/EN/catalog.php?action=showitem&numart=PETE1082&ve=scores
Sara in AZ
I did a little research. "Bells" is kolokola in Russian. So I googled that with Tcherpenin's name, but didn't come up with much. A Nicholai Tcherpenin wrote a ballet called Kolokola. Maybe it was a melody from the ballet? I also found a database listing all of Alexander Tcherpenin's works. Who knew he was so prolific?! I didn't see anything titled "Bells" or "Kolokola". But it's highly possible that that nickname was given to the piece after the fact. It's quite common for popular melodies and pieces to acquire nicknames that may or may not be published in the score, and it might be difficult to track down without the specific opus number. Maybe you could start collecting Tcherpenin albums until you come across it. I hope you can find it!
violamama
You could look through these: http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Tcherepnin,_Nikolay
cathmom
I would recognize it if I heard it or saw the sheet music, but I have no idea if it's part of a longer work or opus number or anything like that. I'm thinking my next step might be going to a music library near me and paging through all his compositions that they have there. Thanks everyone!
