kristin0713
I need something "fun" for my DD for next year. This past year, DS did a lot of the R&S preschool workbooks and really enjoyed them, and she kept asking for workbooks like his. In the fall, we will be doing Konos Attentiveness, starting DITHOR, and continuing Logic of English and RightStart. She reads at a very high level and is halfway through RS B; she enjoys reading and writing but not really math. She also likes art. We are set for curriculum so this is really just to appease her and make her feel like she has some new and exciting things. Her brother will be starting K and will have all this "fun" stuff and I know she will want something fun. Suggestions?
TraceyS/FL
How about putting something together yourself? I just ordered DD an extreme dot to dot book by mindware (she loves dot to dots), there are some cool books like that. I would just think of what she might think is fun, and copy the pages into a book for her!
T'smom
What about a DK sticker book? They have lots of subjects. They have outlines of where you are supposed to put the sticker and then blurbs about the picture. It looks a little like an eyewitness book when it is complete. There are other brands at my Barnes and noble that are just as good.
Aurelia
Ariel really liked The Greatest Dot to Dot Book in the World and the Never Bored Kid Book. She also likes coloring the stained glass coloring books by Dover. Logic books are also fun, there's those by Tin Man Press or Dandy Lion that are very good. moonlight
What about some of the books from Critical Thinking Co. and Prufrock Press?
kiwik
If you have a good printer- go to printable-puzzles.com - I've only used the mazes so far, buy one of the prufrock press or something, then print off some on line colouring pages mix them all up and get them bound. I might do this myself now I think about it.
Wabi Sabi
My arty kid just finished this sticker book as part of his second grade year. He would read and complete one page at a time on his own, then we'd discuss his favorite painting or the one most interesting fact he learned on each page. It was one of his favorite things from this year: http://www.amazon.co...rt sticker book
Arcadia
Crimsonwife recommended this math series some time back in a thread. There are samples on the page for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division http://www.mindware.com/p/Multiplication-Mosaics/17157
