genny
dd likes workbooks. we have aas. I love the spelling rules explanation. I'm not into all the cards, tiles etc... Is there something workbookish but also has teacher instruction, goes over the spelling why's, is fairly cheap and effective? I'm busy with 4 under 6 and don't have a lot of time to research. ByGrace3
Rod & Staff and How to Teach Spelling are the two that get suggested most for that idea.
PentecostalMom
Rod and Staff. We dropped AAS in favor of R&S and it has been great. Level 2 starts out mildly, but 3 gets going more in depth fairly quickly, showing why the foundation was laid in 2. I highly recommend it. mrs.m
Spelling Plus. The Writing Road to Reading is great too but not workbook.
