joannqn
Coming in to wish you a good Thursday. The big kids and I are tackling amusement park rides and water slides in a park full of barely unchaperoned public school kids by the busload. Jean in Newcastle
Sounds like fun, JoAnn. I had thought about scheduling a fun day like that but we have too many appointments and stuff like that. And amusement parks need energy, which I don't seem to have right now. swellmomma
Today is a very fullday and we all slept until 11am, the teens are still asleep now at 11:30, apparently we all needed it but it really et me back. Today's list Tonight just after 730pm I have a daycare baby coming to meet me, because I will be watching her all day tomorrow as a trial day before they get here I have to clean the livingroom and make sure it is babyproofed Clean the bathroom and make sure it is safe Clean the kitchen pull high chair out of garage and scrub it down clean backroom(thankfully should only take 5 minutes) wash entrance walls and floor clean out the guinea pig cage laundry Meeting with prospective client (so much babyproofing and scrubbing to do because this was a short notice thing, I am not technically opening my daycare until July but this mom was desperate for a sitter for tomorrow with the hope of me watching her starting in july fulltime. and I need the money, so it will be speedy clean and baby proof) In addition to all that, these things have to be done sometime before bedtime Finish cleaning the boys room pack oldest for his visit with his dad (he can not handle that yet, packs all the wrong stuff) bring in the playpen from garage and clean it bring baby/toddler toys up from basement and clean them, and set out move baseboards that are stacked up on the wall into the backroom for safety clean up the outside entrance way I think that is it. Now that's enough sitting around time to get down to business And after all the panic about being cleaned and ready, they cancelled on me. Oh well at least my backroom/entrance/kitchen/livingroom/alcove and 1/2 the boys room is clean :) That's a great way to start the weekend. Tomorrow I can tackle more since I won't have a baby here. violamama
Stayed up till about 4am copying forms, applying post-it notes and getting adoption stuff into envelopes. Zzzzzzzz. This morning we managed a nice breakfast (protein is hard for my 7yo, all he wants are carby breakfasts). Heading out to buy money orders & FedEx the adoption stuff to 3 consulates and USCIS. After that I need to: Do math & LA school for boys (~90 minutes today) Print recital programs, pack up signs, plates, treats for student recital tonight process 4 camp payments get teacher payments ready Buy practice marathon prizes Buy teacher presents for swim coaches Practice Brahms And if there's time after the recital and I'm not cranky/exhausted: Set up camp schedule & email to hired teachers contact potential new school again
MamaAkins
I feel like Thursday has tackled me...literally! Had a fabulous smoothie and toast for breakfast Went to the Y and worked out for 2 hours, despite the fact that I'm still quite sore from Tuesday's workout. Took kids to lunch Mailed off our end of year testing (so glad that is done) picked up daycare child from her half day summer camp program went to Walmart for groceries and to get a card for dh (today is our wedding anniversary) Unloaded groceries got daycare child down for a nap (yay!) STILL TO DO: take a shower fold & put away one load of laundry supervise the kids doing afternoon chores go over dd15's math & science assignments make dinner for the kids go out to dinner with dh to celebrate anniversary crawl into bed (seriously, I think that crawling will be all I can muster up by this evening---my muscles are already crying from working out).
