plain jane
I've seen this book recommended a few times on this board but not with a link included. Is this the book? Or is this it? Or is it this one? :willy_nilly:
Arcadia
This thread would answer your question :) http://forums.welltr...way-life-works/
Matryoshka
I think the third one you linked is the hardcover of the first one. The second one is very similar, by the same authors with most of the same text, but it has been developed into a more textbook-y form with some extra pages with "real-world" applications, web links (which as far as I can tell are now all obsolete, as the book is OOP and its website is defunct), and end-of-section comprehension questions. I used the first version for my kids to read/outline at the same time they were doing CPO Bio. I bought the second version (even though I obviously own the first) to use next year with my dd, as I'd like to do more discussion with her, and I thought the end-of-section questions would be helpful. The book doesn't cost that much used on Amazon.
Kareni
I have no first hand experience with it, but this plan of study has always looked appealing to me: High School Biology with Living Books by Jamie McMillin. The resources used are listed here and include Hoagland's The Way Life Works: The Science Lover's Illustrated Guide to How Life Grows, Develops, Reproduces, and Gets Along. . Regards, Kareni
