Has anyone used- Speaking and Writing by Maxwell?

I was just looking at this today and am really liking what I see so far. I LOVE that there is a focus on speaking as well as writing, which is often neglected and important for us.

 

Here is the book for use in fifth year classes (incorrectly labeled as the first): it has excerpts from poems and great speeches and more-

This one starts with them working on storytelling, then letter writing w/ picture and poem studies, next is studying how to write sentences and words.

 

 

I cannot remember the equivalent grades but it looks doable for my son, who is an older rising 3rd grader.

Great link! Thanks. I think storytelling is so important on so many levels. I looked through the 4th year class so far (and downloaded it) for my rising 4th grader.
