Miss Marple
We're taking my parents (read not elderly, but a few joint issues) and our family for a final family vacation before the oldest leaves for college. We would like a nice hotel (not too expensive because we need 2 rooms) that has a better than most breakfast buffet or a comprehensive continental breakfast ;) The times we have been there, we've had small kids so we rented a condo with a kitchen. But this is a fast trip and no one wants to bother cooking. We're just going to do SDC and the water park. Any suggestions?
Hoggirl
I was going to suggest a condo, but I see you have ruled that out. Near the Tanger outlet mall there are several inexpensive hotels with breakfast-serving restaurants NEARBY. Would that work? I have found the breakfasts at Branson hotels to be pretty skimpy. Sorry I cannot be of more help, but we always do the condo thing.
torikei
I love the Bradford Inn. It's small, cozy, and wonderful for family gatherings. It's not your typical hotel room atmosphere. Good breakfast--made to order. Choice of sausage, eggs, waffles, cereal, fresh fruit, etc. They are usually booked solid in summer, but Branson's numbers are down so you might be able to get a reservation. readwithem
I haven't been since I was a kid but Embassy Suites have the best breakfast buffet I've ever seen.
cjzimmer1
We were just there 2 weeks ago and stayed at the Quality Inn on 76 (downtown). The breakfast was very good. Scrambled Eggs (with or without ham and cheese), pancakes, biscuits and sausage gravy, donuts, bagels, toasts, oatmeal, cereal, juice and coffee. I don't know what the regular rates were but with my AAA discount it was about $64 a night for two adults (plus taxes) which I thought was reasonable.
