I thought she did a poor job on that - that song depends on being able to hear every word and there was so much background stuff that you couldn't really hear her. Holly is cute and has a nice voice, the coaches always seem to think Sarah is such a power house. Judith was never a favorite of mine. I just prefer a richer voice and she never really "connected" like some of the other singers (IMHO). I thought they BOTH had a shot at winning. But song choice matters and that's what I get for NOT VOTING. I really do like Danielle, Amber, and Holly (in that order). I think Danielle will win. I say Sasha and Swons are out on the next round unless they are PERFECT and someone else messes up with a poor song choice. What is your prediction on who's out next time? Just riding on his brother's coat tails. The older one would probably make it on his own. I think Sasha will be the next along with them. I don't like her voice at all. I really didn't want to see Judith win. I thought she shouldn't have been there in the first place - as a back up singer for Michael Jackson, she already had too much experience and it really wasn't fair for the others who didn't have as much experience. The thing is, while I had been a fan of both Judith and Sarah based on their vocal ability, I voted each time based on how they did that time. And neither of their last performances were all that good, in my opinion. I also think that Judith had gotten a bit complacent and that perhaps that influenced her choices. I don't know. I do seem to remember Adam having said something about not originally liking how she wanted to do the Will I. Am song but then allowing her to do it her way. Does anyone else remember that? I don't understand all the "risk taking" with the song choices. Shakira didn't do Kris any favors by his pop song choice and that got him eliminated. He was more a ballad/broken heart/love song type of singer IMHO. Same could easily be said of Sarah this past week. I was concerned about Sasha and the pop song she did a couple weeks ago. She is such a classic ballad singer IMHO. Why do they have to step outside their genre anyway? Perhaps to show their range of possibilitites? I don't know..... So, who do I think will be out and who is safe? Danielle - based on what they say she is getting over on itunes.....she should be safe Amber - I really like her - hope she stays at least another week Sasha - she always looks scared to me, but she seems to be growing in popularity Swon Brothers - wasn't sure they would be here after the coaches review of their Eagles cover Holly - cute pop/country but not as strong IMHO as Danielle or Sasha Michelle - she seems to be gaining and growing momentum But, what do I know......I thought Judith and Sarah would still be in the running :) A lot will depend upon performances this coming week...... I never liked Judith - she's not my type and doesn't sing music I like. Amber did an awesome job with Skyfall and broke the Adele curse. My theory about Blake's team all getting through is that his fans are excited about his team being all country and are voting, a lot. On the other hand, I do like the Swon brothers, but their time is limited. They will probably go this week. I think it is going to be between Amber and Danielle. TXBeth Posted June 2, 2013 Share Posted June 2, 2013 I like Danielle the best, although I don't like how they made such a big deal about the auditions being her "first performance ever." She has sung in church, etc., just not on a big stage in front of a huge audience, which is probably true for a lot of contestants. Next for me are Sasha and Michelle, tied, and then Amber and Holly. I like the Swon brothers but agree that little brother is just riding on the coattails and their days are numbered. I am so glad that Judith finally got voted out! She has a good voice, but not as good as some of the others. I was so shocked when they announced that it was Judith and Sarah leaving. I thought it would be Sarah and Holly or the boys. I'm sure Judith will. Probably Sarah too. I did expect Judith to win because she has that mega-star stage presence that often seems to matter more than actual singing ability. I was actually pleased that she was voted off after doing a poor job on a song because to me, that means that others are listening to the actual singing quality. I think that Blake's team, besides being all country, are solid melodic singers. And I think that has helped them. I liked Sarah the best of the two and am sorry to see her go, but I do hope she does well in her career. Judith was far too experienced and it didn't seem fair to have her there. I wasn't crazy about her style, but she sure can sing! Now as for the remainder of the group, I am not a fan of the Swons at all, and Danielle is too much like a remake of Carrie Underwood -- who I LOVE -- but gosh, let's get a winner this year that isn't more of the same thing over and over. Sasha has amazing talent and I happen to like her a lot, but I'd have to say it would be a tie for me between her and Amber. Amber has real heart to go along with amazing talent.
