I've never done SOTW, but over the years as I've combined various history resources, I've found that it usually works out better NOT to try to line them up exactly. It messes with the pacing of the works, and it can mess with the order--and seems to take away what's best about individual programs. Instead I usually find it's best to use each as they were intended, and let one reinforce the other when one reviews a topic already covered in the other.
