journey00
I purchased the 8/7 with Pre-Algebra homeschool edition with answers & Dive cd. I was a little disappointed because It was the soft cover and I like the hard backs because of durability. I have a hardback Saxon 5/4 2nd edition which I would like to use. Where can I purchase the tests & answer booklets for this edition? Do you like the hardback or soft Saxon books?
momto2Cs
I'd bet you could find the tests and such that you are looking for on Amazon. My kids prefer the softcover because they can write in them. I'm not picky either way.
Mom0012
I've got all hardcover books except for Saxon 8/7. I would far rather have the hardcover books if only because they aren't so unwieldy. The soft covered ones are super thick and the quality of the paper is terrible. I have read that Saxon did that to reduce costs for homeschoolers, but I suspect it is to reduce the potential for resale. I have Saxon Grammar and even though my kids are pretty careful with books, these are a mess by the end of the year and there is no way I could resell them even if they hadn't written in them.
