bethben
I like the CC timeline better. It's more comprehensive of history throughout the world and has a very addicting song attached to it which makes it easy to memorize. It doesn't have the church history focus like the VP cards do though. Beth

Even if you used Bible/church history and world history both from VP is it hard to combine? Also, would it be more beneficial to memorize dates as well as events? Or do they just get the general time period okay memorizing without dates? Pam
Aloha2U
We participated in a CC community a few years ago, back when they were still using the VP History Cards for the timeline. That was one of the main attractions that drew me in, especially since I'd already decided upon utilizing the VP Bible and History cards in our studies at home. Although we didn't continue with CC, I took the good things I liked about it and applied them at home. Anyway, I purchased CC's new timeline cards, mostly out of curiosity, at the beginning of this past school year and came to the same conclusion as SilverMoon (above) - there's no reason to fix what isn't broken. Honestly, if I had to do it all over again, I'd still choose the VP timeline cards first over CC. I may perhaps utilize the CC timeline cards during our logic stage, once we've completed VP's 5 year Bible and History cycles. At least, that's what I've considered doing, which is why I still have them sitting on my shelf. But then again, perhaps not. I just really like the solid foundation that VP is laying for us.
