fairfarmhand
In three weeks, hubby and I will be headed to Denver. Tell me what we have to do while we are there. (no kids along for this trip)
gingersmom
Eat here.........http://www.dbardesserts.com/ Amazing! The only downside is its a tiny restaurant and gets packed. I'm convinced this restaurant is the only reason my mother will come visit me in Colorado.
Erin
This is the stuff we've done while in Denver: Denver Art Museum Denver Museum of Science and Nature Denver Firefighter's Museum Molly Brown House the Zoo the Aquarium shopping along the 16th Street Mall Additionally, I'd also like to: Take in a Rockies game (or Avalanche, depending on season) visit the Butterfly Pavilion go to Elitch Gardens
JNW
If you feel like driving to Colorado Springs, I highly recommend taking the Pike's Peak COG Railway.
VeritasMama
The Georgetown Loop is a historic mountain railroad line about 45 minutes from Denver, it is great way to go site seeing in the mountains. There is also a historic silver mine site you can tour on the line. My grandmother grew up in Denver, her father used to be an engineer on this line when it was still functioning, so we always enjoy the ride. The town of Georgetown itself, has some history and is a neat little destination. http://www.colorado.com/scenic-historic-train/georgetown-loop-railroad-1 http://www.georgetown-colorado.org/

Word Nerd
Denver Museum of Nature and Science, visit one of the Tattered Cover locations (awesome independent bookstore), stroll 17th Street/LoDo.
Erin
If you're going to Tattered Cover, you have to visit the one in LoDo. The building itself is iconic. :)
Luanne
Yes, Casa Bonita is still there and yes, the food is still disgusting, but the atmosphere is awesome.
