This is the stuff we've done while in Denver:

Denver Art Museum

Denver Museum of Science and Nature

Denver Firefighter's Museum

Molly Brown House

the Zoo

the Aquarium

shopping along the 16th Street Mall

Additionally, I'd also like to:

Take in a Rockies game (or Avalanche, depending on season)

visit the Butterfly Pavilion

go to Elitch Gardens

The Georgetown Loop is a historic mountain railroad line about 45 minutes from Denver, it is great way to go site seeing in the mountains. There is also a historic silver mine site you can tour on the line. My grandmother grew up in Denver, her father used to be an engineer on this line when it was still functioning, so we always enjoy the ride.

The town of Georgetown itself, has some history and is a neat little destination.
