we had stomach flu go through this past week. intense, but thankfully short, though recovery is several days. I got it friday, and on saturday - the palms of my hands/fingers started itching like mad. I'm the only one with the itching.

any ideas? the only thing that comes to mind is perhaps something got knocked out of balance? I've no clue what. I haven't had any of my supplements since friday morning. I'll probably take them today for the first time since.

Are you on Zyrtec or it's generic antihistamine? It worked well for me for almost a year - almost as effective as Benadryl without inducing sleepiness. Until I started getting the dreaded side effect of itchiness when we moved to an area with less allergens and took it less often. It started with palms, then feet, then my head, then everywhere. I itched for almost 3 weeks when I finally determined to stop using it entirely. Yuck.

I thought I should update. thanks for the ideas, but it seems to have been a side effect of whatever bacterium/virus was doing the rounds here. the itching was during the recovery phase and I was taking nothing of any kind lest it turn into money flushed down the drain. the itchiness is now gone. It never progressed past my hands. it was just . . . weird.

Viruses can do odd things for sure. My dh had a virus last year that left him with SVT (a heart condition), and now he cannot drink caffeine or his heart does weird things. I seemed like a regular cold, but it has nasty long term effects. Glad the itching went away!
