Parrothead
I just got out of the shower and my hair is the same color it was before I put the color treatment on it. What did I do wrong?
unsinkable
Beauty school dropout? Missed your midterms and flunked shampoo?
kitten18
Generally, you can't lighten hair that has been colored with a regular hair color. You have to use bleach. Or a color remover to strip the color you had applied previously.

I don't know, I've never used a color remover. Do you have a Sally's? Probably silly, I think you live in a really small town.
kitten18
I see something called Color Oops that they might have at Walgreens.
Parrothead
okay. I'll see about having it done professionally.
kitten18
okay. I'll see about having it done professionally. I definitely don't think you need to have it done professionally (but I'm the kind of person who does their own highlights). It looks like they might have the Color Oops in the store at WalMart and Loreal makes a color remover too.
kitten18
Here's the Loreal product, maybe you could find it in the store. It says it removes all artificial color and leaves hair ready for new color application. http://www.buymebeauty.com/loreal-haircolor-remover-kit.aspx?gclid=CP3qx8CEnrcCFYF7QgodkRsA4A

Chris in VA
You know we'll need a picture, right? :toetap05: (double dog dare ya to take one of the color stripped out...lol!) :scared:
8circles
I have some of the color remover, both the oops & the Loreal product. Never used them though. It does say that you color again as soon as you finish the color remover.
Parrothead
Well, once it dried it did/does look significantly lighter. So I'm letting it alone for a couple of weeks and will do something with it
