MFW Users - question

I'm going to use 1850 to Modern next year with my 8th, 5th and 2nd graders. We are new to MFW. I would like to incorporate in some memorization for history such as the VP cards or CC cards. I've never used these either but I'm wondering if I can make this work. I can't seem to find decent samples of any of the cards online. Anyone done this? or have any insight?

I don't know. never tried.

I'm wondering (for sake of discussion)... are there similar words to go along with SOTW vol 4 and you could just use the timeline pieces from SOTW which are included in mfw? pick a few here and there and make some words or dates or whatever is used on memory cards and write those? maybe if it is more personalized for your children they'd remember more as they went along???

it's a totally clueless suggestion on that. there are 150 or so timeline pieces, so don't over do it, kwim?

or you could work on memorizing the US presidents in order in addition to the notebooking included in mfw on that?

mostly didn't want you to feel ignored even if this user doesn't have any clue what's on these vp or cc cards....

I'd love to see samples of the VP cards so I could know, too! Maybe it's too much! I did think about writing a sentence to go along with each week - but I'd probably struggle actually getting it done with 4 kiddos to take care of. I just feel like I need to incorporate in a little more memory work and I'm trying to find a way to do it.
