Laura Corin
Here. I made one mistake, and see how I made it, but the sentence (the one about 'Hilary') is so horrible that I would have recast it. Laura
linders
One mistake here, the same one, and yes, I would have revamped the whole sentence. Thanks for sharing!
I talk to the trees
Yep. I missed the Hilary question, too. But I haven't had coffee yet this morning! (Any excuse will do, right? ;) )
stripe
The Hilary one is odd. I had another reasoning entirely concerning the comma-less term "my sister Clara," which seemed to me to imply there is more than one sister, as I thought the phrasing with comma meant it could be replaced by, in other words, that there is one and only one of that thing. The reasoning seemed to be flipped in their answer. I did not like the scoring mechanism. Why number the answers in the question, but not when solutions are given? May and might confuse me, apparently.
Matryoshka
9/10, and missed the Hilary one. I think that's just an extremely badly worded question! ;)
SorrelZG
I'm surprised I did as well as I did. Besides the Hilary question, I missed question 8 because I did not know what a gerund or a modal was. I could see the problem with the sentence in question 10 but didn't know what to call it.
Guest submarines
9/10. Same here. I technically answered correctly, because of the warnings here, but my reasoning wasn't comma-related. :coolgleamA:
Cinder
7 of 10 here. Hilary, may vs. might, and one other but I haven't had coffee so I've already forgotten. :D
