Kimm in WA
Hello, My college-bound son is updating his resume to list the scholarships he has received. The idea is he will use this resume in the future at college to apply for research positions, internships, etc... In listing the scholarships he received under "Academic Achievements", should the amount be listed, as well, or just the scholarship name? Thanks for any advice! ErinE
This was back when I first graduated, but I never listed scholarship amounts, just the title, like National Merit Scholar. I did have a statement similar to: "College education paid for through scholarship and work."
Lori D.
Don't know what's standard. But esp. if it's a 4-year full ride I'd mention it! ;) For our DS, we listed 1-year scholarships like this: Awards/Honors - Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society - Name of Scholarship (2012-2013) - Name of Other Scholarship (2011-2012) - an award from an extracurricular (date)

Some are well-known, like Phi Beta Kappa. Some are not -- like the full-ride scholarship from a particular college. The powers that be in the college career office told my kids to add a one-line description (in a smaller font) to any that they felt needed clarification.
