It looks nice, but with everything else they're doing already (and assuming they're getting fresh air and playing outside on a regular basis as well), I really don't think it's necessary. If you want something more tangible than just daily living to teach them how to be healthy and take care of their bodies (fitness, healthy eating, hygiene, etc.) I would just opt for a health book/workbook. Maybe something they can do once a week or so along with any other science topics they will study.

If they are already doing active stuff, FTF (family time fitness) is probably not what you want. You're given activities to do for fitness (stretches and warm ups, a few run games to move around, cool down). reminded me of PE class in grade school, but I never liked PE class, I just wanted to play..... the workbooks are just worksheets with find a word and cross word kind of stuff for Fitness, some sports and some health/body vocab. and maybe a few other sheets similar to that... nice things with FTF with Core stuff..... it tells you what to do, gives clear instructions... equipment isn't hard to get. don't need a large group to do the stuff..... I just know that I had a hard time wanting to do it. It was more fun for maybe ideas to do at park day with a few friends, but honestly... we just preferred to climb on equipment and run and ride our scooters...

however, I do like the high school Strength Training materials that FTF has. but that's for high school.

I thought I"d end up liking the grade school FTF stuff, and having it to encourage my youngest to be more active, but for me (and this will not be the case with everyone) if I turn active lifestyle into a class to "be done." well..... uhmmm... I took the fun out of it for that age.

More than likely, if your children are young and in group classes, they are getting the same info.

If they are already in sports, dance and karate, they don't really need this program. You might be better off just checking out books about health from the kids' section of the library. We have also enjoyed Prudence and the Millers, and the ABeka Health books which are easy to find used. You could use the 4th grade book as a good read-aloud.
