Aludlam
I think we are jumping from Horizons to CLE math. Dd11 did okay in the placement test, but BOMBED fractions. I would like to put her through a fractions "boot camp". I'm not looking for a complete curriculum (already own MUS fractions), just a good basic fractions workbook. Pages must be uncluttered with lots of white space (think MUS or CLE). Any suggestions? thanks so much
Meriwether
Key to Fractions? These are very straightforward, cheap workbooks.
Karen in CO
I think the Key to ... books fit your requirements well.
wapiti
For drill in the procedures? Key to Fractions. If more instruction on concepts is necessary, you could supplement with what you have from MUS, if that was well-understood. (I prefer MM for the combination of concepts and problems, but those pages would not be uncluttered.)
lmrich
I am going to offer a fraction boot camp this summer. I amusing the Keys to series... And a lot of visuals.
TheApprentice
CLE Math has some Math Skill Development Worksheets, and one of the books is dedicated to fractions. If you go to the Browse Curriculum and look toward the bottom, you'll see "Support Material". It's under that. I plan on using the Algebra Book for my son before Algebra in the fall. Lori D.
The Keys to Fractions series of workbooks is GREAT -- covers different aspects of fractions in several different ways to make sure that the concepts "click". The series is very visual, and also very gentle. Cheap, too -- less than $20 for 4 workbooks and the answer key! :)
