mo2
I can't seem to make myself like it. Some of the stories seem rather pointless to me. Anyone else feel this way?
Plaid Dad
Which ones seem pointless to you? I'm a fan of the book, but I'm always interested to hear other people's perspectives on it. :)
Surfside Academy
I find it makes a nice compliment to some of the chapters in SOTW. Also, the stories are fairly short so it's a good read aloud for my boys.
Trina in TN
My boys like most of the stories, though I find some are a bit odd :D
frogpond1
my older kids remember back to that book when we hit certain people and events in history. It has been useful for hooks here at our house. We were camping and hung one of the boys undies up above the table in the tent trailer (to dry after swimming) and my almost 13 year old made some quip about the "underpants of Damocles" which went straight back to 50 famous stories years ago- with the teenager twist. Beth in SW WA
This book arrives tomorrow from Amazon, per Drew's suggestion in LCC. I'm really looking forward to reading it myself -- and to the kiddos. Hi Drew!
