raindrops
I'm growing out all my layers in my straight fine hair. I'm thinking about just a blunt cut, shoulder-length, but don't want it too flat on top... Should I go for bangs? Do you have any ideas? poppy
Bangs are very in right now. I just got some and I love them. Both easy and chic - what's not to love? Here is a non-glam Taylor Swift shot to give you an idea of the look: http://roccosrevolution.com/2012/01/20/thats-it-its-settled-im-getting-bangs-because-of-taylor-swift/
ProudGrandma
oh, I am watching this thread...my hair is fine and straight too. I do have bangs, but I look so dumpy, I think...my bangs look NOTHING like the link above...nothing.
Michelle My Bell
As a girl with very fine, very straight hair... I would not grow out your layers. Our hair needs the layers to add thickness and volume. Here are my favorite hairstyles on my pinterest board. I really like Julianne Hough's hair right now. You don't even have to layer the entire look, but at least layer the ends for some lift. I don't like bangs like the ones in Taylor Swift's photo. I prefer longer, side-swept ones like the ones pictured on Mandy Moore in Michelle's Pinterest board. My hair looks very much like Julianne Hough's hair right now, even down to the flipped out ends in the one picture except I have the long side bangs like Mandy Moore's pic. It's my favorite haircut and very easy to style.

Dory
I always leave the ends layered just a little to add some lift. Otherwise my hair would be hopelessly flat.
Chelli
Picture! :) I have no idea how to upload pictures on the new boards. Every time I try I get an error message. I will link you to the picture I took into my stylist when I got my hair cut. This girl's hair has more volume than mine and a different color, but the basic cut is exactly the same. I like those, but, it would take a good 20 minutes of styling and a lot of product to make my stick straight hair do ANY of those things. Ditto! And living in WA I'd go outside, it'd rain, and it'd all be undone in a minute! I have superfine hair too, it looks like I have really thin hair because of that. So I comb it, part it on the side, and call it a day! It takes about 3 minutes!
violamama
My hair is quite fine and straight (more like limp) and gets both flat and vaguely greasy looking in about 3 seconds. It's got a strong leaning toward frump. My favorite go-to cut is a long reverse bob (long in front, short in back). It looks very good with just a hair dryer & brush. It's not half bad just air dried, either. And you can pull the long strands back from your face if you want, or put in some daring hi-lights for a more modern feel. I just got it done again yesterday & took a pic outside the salon. It was kind of dark, but you get the idea. ETA: Bangs make my face look rounder and I have a cowlick in the middle which would be a constant disaster. I will spare you my every school picture ever.... raindrops
What do you think of this one I just found? http://hairstylesweekly.com/hilary-duff-long-straight-hairstyle/
kewb
I just keep my fine, straight, limp, hair short and layered. Every time I try to grow it out I end up frustrated at the amount of effort and product I have to use to get my hair to do anything other then hang there looking lifeless and stringy. I like wash and wear hair. A little mousse and 5 minutes with the hair dryer and I am good to go. Enough about my awful hair, I like a bob with a long wispy bang. Cafdog
Baby-fine, thin hair here. I have to keep layers, or I have no body at all in my 'do. I always have highlighted or colored, as well - that helps with texture and body - and nowadays - covers my ample gray hairs! Sigh.
lailasmum
I have fine hair but a fair bit of it. I love my haircut. It's a chin length bob with a fringe but the back is graduated so it looks like there is quite a lot of hair. it always looks great. I am really pleased with it. It looks a lot like this and this, maybe a bit more graduated. The fringe is great either jsut straight on or parted to one side. I also really like this image that oaktreemenageriemom linked to and plan that for a future cut, (my hair is that colour too and about the same thickness.)
