momofkhm
I just started working and have realized that my basic shoe wardrobe is built around jeans. I can dress up jeans! But the shoes I have that dress up jeans, do nothing for my khaki pants. I like about a 1-1 1/2 in thick heel, think thick like a boot. So what to wear with khakis? Capris? Button down shirts for the most part. Thanks!

Ali in OR
The shoes that I liked don't seem to be in style anymore--I always wore flats with a bit of a heel. NOT ballet flats, which seem to be the only kind of flat you can get anymore! Good luck. If you live near a Nordstrom, go in wearing the khakis and ask for help. history_junkie
For summer, what about dressy wedges and sandals? I wear an odd size, so I've never been able to wear true flats, so a bit of a heel is necessary for me. My preference is dressy flip flops, but that may or may not be acceptable for work. Though I think that with dressy capris, they would look great.
Laura Corin
I wear these in black, but I don't wear khakis - they work well with darker dress trousers. Laura
Audrey
Any kind of wedge heel would probably work. I would check your workplace's dress code to see if it allows open-toe or sandals. Some places do not.
OrganicAnn
There are some nice shoes with low heels. Below is a naturalizer style, which tends to be comfortable (but that depends on your feet). http://www.naturalizer.com/en-US/Product/EC0209534-3010900/Naturalizer/Black+Leather_Shiny/Deco.aspx
