prissygirls
I just found this online and it interests me. Anyone used it with good luck? It is really expensive so I doubt I would by the whole package. I was thinking about just picking out one concept and using it this summer to see how it goes. I have a 10, 9, 6, and 4 year old. But mainly was thinking of using it with just my older two. I think the Hugo Cabret and the Invention Science looks fun. What about the Number in the Stars and the World I and II social studies? Ravin
I haven't used it yet, but plan on getting one of the lit units for DD (they can be bought stand alone from Rainbow Resource a bit less expensively than directly, unless you want download), and if she likes it, we'll be doing more of them next fall. JessieC
We are using 7-9 this year and love it--planning to move on to 8-10 next year..
km123175
Checking out just a unit or concept or 2 are really good ways to see if it fits how your kids learn and prefer to work. It's a great fit for my younger daughter; it is really not a good fit for my ledger daughter. There are some other fairly recent discussions of it. You might do a search for it. I can't find them to link while on my iPad.
ondreeuh
We are finishing up our first lit unit (The Cay 9-11) and we love it so far. The pacing is great, and having the graphic organizers all ready to go makes it very smooth. Next we'll do A View from Saturday. We are going to do Hugo Cabret and Tech/Inventions this summer, as well as A Wrinkle in Time/Space and House of Tailors/Immigration. If we like all of those then I will buy the whole 10-12 curriculum.
Mandy in TN
We also plan to do A Wrinkle in Time/ Space this summer. :) Right now ds is wrapping up The Tree That Time Built from 10-12. We have used and enjoyed several units through the years, but, although I understand it meets standards, I can't commit to it full time. It jumps around too much for me. I think it would make me crazy. Mandy
