mama2cntrykids
We are coming up on the end of our 5th (!) year of home education. For some reason, I had it in the back of my head that we needed to keep a portfolio, but when I just went to check the law, I'm thinking we don't. How do you interpret this? Ellie
I'm not an attorney and I don't play one on TV. :D This is from HSLDA's legal analysis of MN law. It looks to me as if you're supposed to keep the kind of information that would be considered a portfolio (even though that word isn't used) but you only have to submit it "under certain circumstances." erikdeb
I keep a sample of our work (usually favorite papers in a binder) "just in case". Plus, the kids like to look back at old binders anyway, and we have room in the back of a closet to keep them.
EthiopianFood
You submit your letter of intent to homeschool, including the information on the standardized test you will be using that year. Make sure your kids actually take the test. That's it.
