Guest Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Gah! Ever since our search stopped functioning well here (WTM), I have used Google to search the WTM. For example, I might search "MFW Adventures WTM" in my Google search box and the first result would be a recent thread from here, followed by 4 or 5 more threads beneath. At the bottom, it always said something like "show all..." and I'd click that and all my google results would then all be from WTM. I've noticed the last day or so that it shows my results from WTM with a few links underneath, but then it doesn't have the option of showing all from the WTM. So, basically, I'm only getting 4 or 5 results from WTM. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Is this something Google changed? Is it something I accidentally "checked" and just need to uncheck? Please tell me someone else has noticed this so I don't feel completely crazy! Quote
Katy Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I've noticed things I used to just google instead of having bookmarked are no longer at the top of the rankings either, and there's a lot more worthless pages just full of spam. I'm guessing they changed something too. Quote
PinkyandtheBrains. Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Yes, they changed it because of an EU investigation. Quote
lailasmum Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I've noticed that my google.co.uk page that used to allow me to switch between a world search and a UK one has disappeared. it's annoying when hunting things down since I now only get American results most of the time. It may be under a setting now but it's still wierd to make it less easy to find. Quote
Lanny Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 If you want to use the Google Search Engine, and you want to limit your search to pages on WellTrainedMind.com you need to do it this way: site:welltrainedmind.com XYZ SEARCH TERMS (substitute what you are looking for, for XYZ SEARCH TERMS) GL Quote
