Smiles
I have heard a lot about lego education but when I look at what to get my ds 5 soon to be 6 I don't know what to get or where to look. He has several sets like you buy at Walmart that he loves but I want something more meaningful. I have heard about simple machines, where would I look for this at and would this be a good fit for a soon to be 6 year old? Sorry I'm just not sure where to look. Hopefully this is making sense. Five More Minutes
I used this set with my dds (5 & 7) this year, and we had a lot of fun. Having the teacher's manual to go along helped me to turn it into more of a learning experience (rather than just a "build this cool thing" experience). We built different types of levers and discussed them; tested different catapults; and so on.

*Michelle*
Elemental Science posted a link to this on their Facebook page today. It's recommended for 11 and up, so I bookmarked it for logic stage chemistry. There's a DNA lesson too.

And wow I did not realize they have so much for legos like lego DNA!
