kfeusse
I am looking at a LG washer, but a few of the reviews mentioned not being able to wash waterproof bedding or other articles...and I was going to link this item, but the link feature isn't working for me...but please go to amazon and search for Invacare Reusable Bed Pads and tell me if you think these are "waterproof"... this washer is a HE washer..and I was surprised that I couldn't wash these types of articles. thoughts?? Parrothead
Did the review say why the washer couldn't wash them?
itsheresomewhere
I wash that kind of stuff in my LG HE FL. It comes out fine and hasn't harmed the washer. I just washed this morning a waterproof bed mattress cover and the dog bed.
kfeusse
this is a top loading one and the review said something about it causing the tub to bounce around or something like that...I didn't understand, but I have never owned a HE washer before. They probably didn't have the washer level. DA has the whirlpool TL HE and washes all her dogs bedding weekly in without issues.
kfeusse
according to the review, this information was in the instructions of the machine. I am looking to get my appliances at a Sears store, so I plan to call today to see what they say. The article that I want to wash is fabric on the outside with a barrier of sorts inside...so it's not like it's a piece of plastic....so we will see, I suppose. This may be a case of cover our butts rule. Someone may have loaded the washer full of heavy plastic sheets and it was too heavy and broke the washer. They called and complained to the fullest and now we have another common sense law. Ever read the manuals for appliances? I love that my toaster oven has a do not dry your clothes in it. Or my old dishwasher that had something about not for washing body parts. Even on cherries now have a we may contain pits label.
