Shellydon
My 5th grader did IEW this year as a co-op class. I would like to continue it next year and also do it for my 4th grader. What do I need to purchase for both kids, and are the instructional DVDs worth it?
nukeswife
I think the TWSS is excellent if you want to pick your own topics that tie into your other studies or if you want to do a theme pack. The TWSS will teach you the methodology of IEW. I'm guessing your 5th grader did something that would be comparable to an SWI. I would probably pick the TWSS for you and then choose a theme pack that you think they'd enjoy, or if you're confident in picking topics you can tie into your history or science curriculum, you can just get the TWSS and teach it all on your own.
