Curriculum question re: zoology and anatomy

Recommended Posts

My rising 7th grader is really interested in animals and is just completing Zoology 2 - land animals and we also just finished anatomy as well with Apologia. She would like to learn about zoology but specifically more anatomy and in depth study on land animals. Is there any program that combines animals and anatomy for jr. high science.

We are also ordering the equine science for my other dd so I am looking for something like that but specifically with land type animals. Lions, tigers, wolves, etc.

Is there anything out there like this?

Maybe PM Amy in CO? She asked in this thread http://forums.welltr...in-high-school/

This is the newer version of the book mentioned in the thread: Zoology by Miller & Harley 9th Edition

ETA:

This one might work too. Vertebrates: Comparative Anatomy, Function, Evolution, 6/e by Kenneth V. Kardong (sample chapter and table of contents)

Thanks, I have been looking at products all day and just not finding what I want. I will check into those.
