Blessed mom
In which grade level of Horizons and/ or Singapore is adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions introduced?
Five More Minutes
According to the Singapore scope and sequence (PDF file), Level 5 is where a lot of those topics come up. (Addition of like fractions is in 4, but addition of unlike fractions, and multiplication/division of fractions is in 5.)
happyhomemaker
In Horizons I believe adding and subtracting fractions is in 4. That is reviewed in 5 and then multiplication and division of fractions is introduced.

I could be wrong, but we did Horizons 3 last year and I seem to remember doing some adding and subtracting with fractions. Do you remember doing it that early? I'll have to see if I can find our workbook from last year and take a look.
Crimson Wife
Addition and subtraction of like fractions is actually in Singapore 3B, because my DS just did those sections. They are chapter 10, sections 3 & 4. There is further addition & subtraction work in 4A chapter 3 section 2 where one denominator is a multiple of the other. 5A hits fractions hard in chapters 3 & 4.
