Stacia
Thought it was a cool poster & I saw a description that said it's best to go to see the movie 'blind' w/ no preconceptions about the story. So, that's what dh & I did. I thought it was fab & now I want to see it again. If you've liked movies such as "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels", "Inception", and "Layer Cake", you may like this one. If you want to know the tiniest hint about the story, etc..., here is a little bit of info from Fandango.com: Opened April 5, 2013 1 hr 41 min R | Language, Graphic Nudity, Sexual Content, Some Grisly Images and Violence Parents: Common Sense Media says not for kids. More on child suitability Simon (James McAvoy), a fine-art auctioneer, joins a gang of thieves led by Franck (Vincent Cassel) to steal a priceless Goya painting. During the heist, Simon suffers a head injury, and awakes with no memory of where he hid the artwork. When torture and physical threats fail to break through Simon's amnesia, Franck hires a hypnotherapist named Elizabeth (Rosario Dawson) to find the answer. But, as Elizabeth probes the recesses of Simon's mind, the lines between truth and deceit start to blur. Really, see it w/out knowing more. If you must watch a trailer, I think this one is best w/out giving away too much of the story:
Stacia
Bumping in case anyone is curious about Danny Boyle's newest film....
gaillardia
I have not heard of this movie but I was telling the kids we used to just go to movies without really knowing what it was about, movie posters only. No movie previews, no commercials, no Siskel & Ebert (RIP). I wondered what it would be like to do that now, because I am definitely picky about what kinds of movies I watch. I have not watched an R rated movie in more than 20 years.
Stacia
Well, this is definitely an R-rated movie. The Fandango listing of why is accurate. So, keep that in mind.... It was fun to go see it totally w/out knowing anything about it & I think it made it better.
