Grammar/ English for hard-to-teach dd?

Recommended Posts

My oldest ds just finished the last R&S high school text and next ds finished the 9th grade book. I am very, very, very pleased with their knowledge and use of grammar and all the other things taught in all those texts. My little dd is doing well with the 3rd grade book and will continue with it. However, older two dds have not done well with grammar, punctuation, etc. They have done a bit of R&S, Winston Grammar, and some others. Next year they will be in 7th and 8th grade. I plan for dd in 8th to do WWS 1 and dd in 7th to either do that or do more of WWE 4 (she's about to finish 3). I would like to teach them together and I don't like anything I've seen nearly as well as R&S. I have thought about teaching all three dds together, who will be in 4th, 7th, and 8th, from a R&S book, either 4 or 5, but dd in 7th may say she doesn't get it. It's time for the older two girls to be really learning and applying grammar and mechanics to their writing, but I'm not sure what to do. I need easy to teach and thorough, with plenty of review, and I like a Christian text. So, R&S, Abeka, other? Help!
