twoxcell
My ds has used Singapore Primary Math US edition from 2a-4b. It is working great for him and I like teaching it. I'm trying to decided if I should stick with the US edition or switch to SE for 5a-6b. I own all of the textbook and HIG's for US for 1a-4b so I will not switch those grades to SE. What I'm wondering is is it worth it to switch at this point, or will we be fine covering the additional topics from SE in JR. High? Also will SE be changing soon? If so I don't want to be stuck with outdated Textbooks. Any thoughts for me? The reason I'm hesitating honestly is the price tag. Trying to spend as little as possible so we can have enough money for some home repairs. :)
SFM
:lurk5: I am using US edition and wonder the same thing. We are on 3B and it seems to be going well but I know people really seem to like the SE HiG better. I will be listening in.
jennynd
If you already have the book, I will say, don't switch. SE does have better HIG and a bite more material. But not worth the extra money. BUT, if you do not already have the US edition book. I will say switch. It does cover the probability and negativity number that US does not. And a lot more reviews. HOWEVER, I love the US edition 6th grade IP. The 6b are nothing but problem solving. It really brings the 6years elementary school years together ( I grow up in Taiwan. Elementary ends at 6th grade)
