Lial's BCM, pre-algebra and algebra

I would like to buy a copy of these textbooks and answer books but when I look for them I see there are many similar titles and several editions. Can you tell me what editions of each are preferable - or will any do? There is one called Pre-algebra and Intro Algebra - how is that different from just Pre-algebra or just Algebra 1?

 

The BCM I was looking at is the edition with the boardwalk on it. Would this copy be o.k.?

What do the covers look like on Pre-Algebra and Algebra?

 

I am having trouble figuring out what is what when I go searching.
