Luanne
We are expecting 8 to 14 inches of snow starting tonight into the day tomorrow (basically snowing all day tomorrow). My daughter has already missed three days of work these past three months due to bad weather. She is off this evening, but is scheduled to work tomorrow evening (5pm to 9pm). I'm sorry, but I'm not taking her if it snows 14 inches. It just isn't going to happen. :glare:  :scared:
goldberry
You must live in my neighborhood! I'm a total weenie about driving in bad weather. I have a part time job at the local fire station on Tuesdays (administrative). But let's just say they don't have much sympathy for not getting out in bad weather. They may be annoyed with me tomorrow!
Luanne
You must live in my neighborhood! I'm a total weenie about driving in bad weather. I have a part time job at the local fire station on Tuesdays (administrative). But let's just say they don't have much sympathy for not getting out in bad weather. They may be annoyed with me tomorrow! Fortunately, her job is very understanding of bad weather. That is good because she works 14 miles from our home. We usually go down I-25. I will not drive on the interstate when it has been snowing. Everyone else drives like the roads are dry and it scares the living daylights out of me. I don't do well without my living daylights. goldberry
The first time after I worked at the fire station we had bad weather, and a board meeting was scheduled. I called to ask if they were still having the board meeting, or what their weather policy was. "Ummm...we're the fire department. We don't usually cancel things for bad weather...." They made me feel like a total dork! But also working there, I read and hear about all the calls of "cars over the edge"... I live off a long, winding road with steep dropoffs..Yep, not getting out. Luanne
The wind just picked up and now it is predicting blizzard conditions. It is completely overcast out there right now. The wind alone is enough to make me glad we aren't going anywhere this evening. YIPES.
Whereneverever
Were just north of you on I25. It's already started snowing here. A+!
Luanne
When I posted at 4 pm, the temperature was about 60 degrees. It is 33 here now. We still don't have snow, but the wind and clouds are still here. I'm sure it will hit soon.
NancyNellen
Haha, we are moving to that area from Los Angeles next week. I'm rather glad we will be missing the blizzard :-)
catz
Meh - it's heading this direction too. So done with winter at this point!
Luanne
Meh - it's heading this direction too. So done with winter at this point! That is exactly how I feel. I usually like the snow, but this winter it is just enough ... too much ... something like that. I'm tired of it already.
Jenny in Florida
I know I'm tempting fate, here, but, wow this makes me glad we live in Florida! The only weather we have to worry about is a possible hurricaine a few times a year. My daughter is working about 25 miles from our house, and she loves her job and would be unwilling to miss going, even if there were a blizzard.
