Older boys are camping

this weekend. My DH couldn't go.

I hate it. I think of all the things that "could" happen. I worry sick.

I don't sleep well.

They are 15 and 13.

Sad thing is, if they are YOUR kids I will tell you not to worry, that it is silly. But when it is MY kids, I can't seem to stop worrying.

Please tell me I am not the only one.

My boys are camping this week as well. Dh is with them. What I would love to know is what day they are coming back. they have been gone since Tuesday. when they left they said they would possibly be home Friday, today is Saturday. I was sort of thinking they might come home today, but no sign of them yet.

the phone rang in the middle of the night last night. I jumped up out of bed and ran to the phone ~ thoughts of all sorts of terrible scenarios flashing through my mind... it was the neighbour complaining about the dog barking at a fox. what a relief!

Oh man, that would be bothersome to me. They are just off camping and will get back whenever?

I hope they come back today!

Great topic. Our son has been going to his friend's (parents') property, a ranch. They camp well out of site of the house, or anything really. No tents. "No, we don't use tents."

The first couple of times I was edgy just because! But now he's 16 and his friend is a little older. They are careful with fire, very....don't need field fires! He's only 3 miles away. They go in the winter too (high 20s for the low a few times).

15 and 13? I would be a mess as well, so don't look at me for support. I don't know your sons though.

They have cougar tracks over there too.
