trlt
We are on our way to San Antonio for the weekend for my dd's first highland competition. We have never been there before. Any good restaurant recommendations?
Jeanine in TX
If you are going to be downtown near the Riverwalk, I recommend Mi Tierra. http://www.mitierracafe.com/ If you are in the north central area, the steak at Chama Gaucha is very good. http://www.chamagaucha.com/ EZ's has quick, American food. http://www.ezsrestaurants.com/
Diane in CO
I haven't been in a long time but our family tradition when we visit is to go to Shiloh's (sp?) It is a german deli and is wonderful! Diane
Ellie
The Guenther House. It's on the River but not actually part of the Official River Walk. Is your dd a primary dancer? My dd did Highland for about nine years. We still love bagpipes, and I can be sucked into watching a Highland fling at the drop of a haggis. :D
Ameena
Second the recommendation for Mi Tierra - it's one of my favorite places in town. Depending on how long your going to be here - you might also check out The Lion and the Rose. It's a british pub style place, but they have GREAT food. For grab & go meals - whataburger is good! Orthodox6
YES! For Mi Tierra. Not for the food, particularly, but for the pure fun of the place. We love it there!
