Frivolous post wondering if anyone has done a body wrap?

So... Ummm... I can't believe I'm asking this on here. I'm going to be 41 in 10 days and a week after that we are taking our family on a cruise. I would love to look better in my swimsuit. Yep, I'm that superficial. Several people around here rave about the It Works wraps, but they are pricey. Have spent far too much time looking at homemade options. So... I'm asking if the hive has any experience with brand or homemade. Thanks!

I am all ears.....I have been thinking about this lately too.....just saw a sign on a bill board today. I have one troublesome spot that I wish I could have surgery on...I don't because I feel that our money should be spent on other more "worthy" pursuits....lol. A wrap is still cheaper than a tummy tuck!!! Safer too!!! (I think.)

A friend of mine did one. She said it made her stomach hurt, and gave her "issues" for days. I don't know anyone else who has done one.

I had a friend do this right after college--she was going to NYC for an overnight.

She said it compressed everything but didn't last long, once she had eaten and drank.

I guess it works by squeezing out fluid?

One of my friends just did some kind of wrap. It might have even been this kind, I'm not sure. It was done at some kind of party. She swore she lost eight inches off her waist, basically in an hour. She said the results were supposed to last for a week, and she was planning to buy several of them at $45 a pop.
