looking for a chicken-salsa-cream cheese recipe

Do you have a recipe for a chicken dish that you cook in a crock pot--chicken, salsa, black beans and hominy and at the end you add a block of cream cheese? This is what I would like to make for dinner for tonight. Or else I'm in a big trouble because guests are coming over and I have no other ideas.

I would just go for it.

 

I'd put the chicken on the bottom, then salsa, then beans. It'd probably be done in 3 hours on high. Then mix in cream cheese before you serve it.

 

I'd serve it over rice.

Have you done it like that? Or are you just going by my descriptions? I've never had this dish. Someone told me about it this morning but she didn't have a recipe.

 

I would like to have a recipe...And there's nothing else that I can think to make.

I make something similar to this all the time. We call it chicken & salsa.

I put 3 frozen chicken breasts in the CP and dump in about a cup of salsa. Let it cook on low about 3-4 hours and add in a can of beans (usually black beans) and frozen corn. I let this cook about an hour on low and then we throw in either cream cheese or sour cream, whichever I have in the fridge.

I serve it with cheese on rice or with tortilla's (like a burrito).
