SilverMoon
Only if you want to do the story part of the lesson that goes with each copywork lesson.

IrresistibleGrace
I bought one but haven't used it yet. We started with the K book and he is finishing up book 3 now. I can't bring myself to sell it though. I am a what-if and you-never-know kind of person :) I do have a 5 yr old starting Kindy this next fall and a 3 year old coming up soon. We might want to do the stories!
tld
I didn't realize there was a story option to go with the lesson. Is it a Bible story, or what kind of story?
texasmama
I've never bought or used it.
poiema
No, you don't need it. I used K and part of A with no teacher guide. The only teacher guide I used was the one for A Reason for Spelling. That one has a character-building story each week, and a bible memory verse to go with it. Spelling and handwriting go together because the verse you write for handwriting is the verse from the spelling lesson. I don't think you could do ARFS without the teacher guide. Lugrita
You definitely do not need it. I have owned the teacher guide for 8 years, and the other day I realized that I've never opened it once...I totally forgot that I had ever purchased it. I've used ARFS for the past 8 years with all four of my kids, so obviously I haven't needed the teacher guide. I'm going to try to find a way to use it now that I know it's there, just so that I can feel as though I didn't buy it in vain. And then I will smile and sell it at a great discount, lol.
