PollyOR
I own levels 1-6 of All About Spelling. This evening I was bored and started watching the Logic of English teacher training videos. Why did I do that? I guess I enjoy torturing myself.

lollie010
I was sick a few months ago and watched the videos. I really learned a lot. Even if I don't end upsing loe, viewing was worth the time.
kirstenhill
I still need to watch those...despite the fact that I have been using LOE for almost a year now, I still don't always feel like I a, doing it all "right".
lorisuewho
I love these videos! I think her program is so do-able to begin with, and then add in the free videos and it is even more clear!
Chrysalis Academy
Can I confess something? The first time I watched them, it made me cry . . . I realized what dds had been missing. Ok, I was probably pms-ing, too, but still!!

dbmamaz
i loved them! they have helped me with MY spelling. the thing about not doubling the letter if the syllable isnt stressed was a mind-boggler for me!
abrightmom
I am going to watch them in chunks. After spending ample time (again) with LOE and WRTR (4th edition which is so much easier to use than 5th and if I'd had it in the first place long ago would have been a success) I want to stay with LOE for ease of use and support. I wish I could have done this last year when I first started but we are pressing on now! :)

The only difference in my statement would be that I had the 6th edition first and then just bought the 4th. However, I'm going to continue with LOE because I am invested, I believe in it, and I love it.
abrightmom
I am going to start those videos today. Do you recommend the PDF training manual or will the videos suffice (alongside the Essentials guide)? I am starting to go looney with Foundations and Essentials because both LOE and Classical Conversations use those terms. :willy_nilly:
Guest mrsjames3
Hive Mind Queen Bee, did you decide to get the training manual? I've been watching the videos and she refers to it many times...

No, I didn't. Just watched the videos. But, after all of that I'm considering using Writing Road to Reading. I've been reading through the 4th edition and it's pretty streamlined. We'll see . . . I feel torn between LOE phonograms (prefer her pronunciation) and teacher training and the simplicity of WRTR ONCE I get through the learning curve. Streamlined programs are my thing. ;)
